Job description
What will you be doing?
As a Service Engineer, you’ll be the go-to expert for luxury superyachts across Southern Europe. You’ll carry out maintenance and service work on electrical installations – from power systems to automation. Whether diagnosing faults or solving complex issues, you’ll ensure everything is running smoothly before these vessels set sail.
You will:
Perform service, maintenance and commissioning tasks on board
Diagnose technical faults and resolve them independently or with your team
Use measuring and testing equipment (such as a megger or thermal camera)
Document your findings clearly and accurately
Mainly work in France, Spain and Italy – with occasional international travel
Alewijnse will fully support your (temporary or permanent) relocation to the South of France, including housing assistance, language lessons and help with administration.

Who are you?
You’re independent, solution-focused and think beyond the immediate issue. You enjoy technology, adventure, and effortlessly switch between working with clients, colleagues and systems.
You have:
A Level 3–4 diploma in Electrical Engineering or a comparable maritime qualification
Experience working with shipboard electrical systems
Knowledge of automation (PLC, SCADA, alarm systems) is a plus
A good command of English
The motivation to live and work in the South of France
