What will you be doing?

As a Service Engineer at Alewijnse, you ensure that electrical installations on board naval vessels and other maritime ships remain reliable and operate at peak performance. You work independently as well as together with colleagues on maintenance, service, and troubleshooting — at unique locations within the maritime sector.

You will dive into complex technical issues and malfunctions involving electronic and control systems on board naval vessels and other ships. With your technical expertise, you make sure everything runs smoothly again, always working in a safe, thoughtful, and solution-oriented way.

What you will be doing:

  • Identifying and resolving electrical malfunctions

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on installations

  • Carrying out measurements and inspections on systems

  • Reporting on progress and completed work

  • Maintaining customer contact regarding status updates and next steps

Who are you?

You are a skilled professional with a practical mindset and an eye for quality. You enjoy technology, think in solutions, and remain confident and professional — both with customers and on board vessels. In addition, obtaining a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is not a problem for you.

  • An MBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar

  • Experience with electrical systems in a maritime environment

  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English

  • Able to work independently while also being a team player
